Juicy Teriyaki-Glazed Chicken Stir Fry with Crisp Vegetables and Sticky Savory Sauce
A delicious stir-fry featuring tender chicken breast coated in a homemade teriyaki glaze with crisp vegetables
Ingredients
- 1.000 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
- salt
- black pepper
- 2.000 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1.000 red bell pepper
- 1.000 green bell pepper
- 1.000 cup broccoli florets
- 1.000 medium carrot
- 3.000 cloves garlic
- 1.000 tsp fresh ginger
- 0.330 cup soy sauce
- 0.250 cup water
- 3.000 tbsp brown sugar
- 1.000 tbsp honey
- 1.000 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1.000 tsp sesame oil
- 1.000 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together all teriyaki sauce ingredients (soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch) until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
- Add chicken to the pan and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add bell peppers, broccoli, carrot, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Return chicken to the pan and pour in the teriyaki sauce.
- Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, or enjoy as-is for a quick, satisfying meal.
