Ingredients

  • 1.000 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 2.000 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1.000 red bell pepper
  • 1.000 green bell pepper
  • 1.000 cup broccoli florets
  • 1.000 medium carrot
  • 3.000 cloves garlic
  • 1.000 tsp fresh ginger
  • 0.330 cup soy sauce
  • 0.250 cup water
  • 3.000 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1.000 tbsp honey
  • 1.000 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1.000 tsp sesame oil
  • 1.000 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all teriyaki sauce ingredients (soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch) until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Season chicken lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Add chicken to the pan and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add bell peppers, broccoli, carrot, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and pour in the teriyaki sauce.
  6. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles, or enjoy as-is for a quick, satisfying meal.
